Linux Seminar

The Linux seminar was conducted on 5th September, 2007 by eminent personalities Dr. Gora Mohanty (PhD Astrophysics) President ILUGD and Mr. Kishore Bhargava CEO Link Axis Technology – the brain behind the popular PC Linux Magazine. The seminar, which lasted for an hour and a half, saw an enthusiastic audience of more than fifty 1st and 2nd year students.

SUN-Talk

A seminar on ‘How SUN Microsystems can help NSIT-ians’ was hosted by CSI NSIT on October 17, 2007 at 3.30 PM in Room No. 103, Connecting Block. Mr. Satyajeet Singh, CoE 3rd Year; SUN NSIT Ambassador talked about various aspects of SUN Microsystems and how its Open Source technologies can take NSIT students a step forward in their quest for excellence.

Open Source India Week

April 2, 2008 was celebrated as the CSI Day, the very first of its kind in the history of NSIT. The day was dedicated purely to Open Source. It saw a galaxy of towering people from the Open Source world.  The Guest of honor, Prof. Ranjit Singh, Director of NSIT, addressed the students with his encouraging words and expressed his felicitations on the occurrence of the seminar and the active work done by CSI-NSIT.
