A group of professionals from TCS came to NSIT for holding a seminar on February 5, 2008. CSI- NSIT and EDC gave a very warm welcome to the host of dignitaries which included Ms. Jayashree – Life skills facilitator, TCS Hyderabad; Mr. Shainu Varghese – Life skills Facilitator, TCS Trivandrum; Mr. Rajit Sikka – Academics Relationship Manager, TCS Delhi and Mr. Satish Koshal – Head Information Security.
The eloquence of these eminent people attracted a large congregation of NSITians across all years. They befriended NSIT students to the umpteen nuances of personality development and communication skills vital to be taken care of in the professional life. The highlights were the body language of a person, correct and confident postures, day-to-day interaction with colleagues and with seniors, and ways to greet others. In one’s profession one comes across many people with varied culture and ethical values. Students were realized that they should accept these differences with broad mindedness. The seminar also threw light on dressing rules, which people generally tend to muddle up with. The latter part of the seminar made students work in teams. The zealous students constructed bridges out of newspapers showing the great spirit of teamwork, which was what the seminar purported at. The seminar concluded with a note of thanks to the TCS team for enlightening NSIT students.
